Jordan’s Events Unlimited and Lebanon’s Hospitality Services are organizing the 8th International Hospitality Forum, which is deemed one of the major exhibitions of hotel equipment, material, and services in the Middle East to be held from 28 to 30 October 2008 at Amman Exhibitions Park.

According to Samar Shawareb Ashkar, General Manager of Events Unlimited, the 8th edition of the International Hospitality Forum is expected to witness alliances among major companies for the first time, aimed at obtaining part of the millions of dollars realized by the new hotels in the regions, which are still under construction and development for the purchase of various equipment and material necessary for their daily operations.  Shawareb indicated the tourism hospitality sector is one of the most important economic sectors contributing in the Gross Domestic Product and in the employment of labor in Jordan. She added that the importance of the participation in this event lies in the diversity of the activities and networking opportunities taking place during this three-day forum.  The events held during IHF play a leading role in the support and the development of the human resources capital in Jordan.

According to Joumana Salame, Managing Director of Hospitality Services, the Forum, is the most important national annual meeting place for the hospitality an foodservice industries with more over 100 companies showcasing the latest products and services across food & drink, catering equipment, interiors, exteriors, tableware and technology. Salamé added that the hospitality and hotel industry in Jordan is currently witnessing significant growth, and professionals of this sector will have the opportunity to attend educational attractions,  discover the Culinary Art Show with top chefs from the industry participating and network with colleagues during this three-day event.
